Behind every baggage system is a certain level of complexity. Today’s outbound baggage handling systems are clearly more complex than prior to September 11, 2001. Integration of screening systems is no longer just on and off with a couple of whistles in between. They control not only mechanical equipment, but the total handling process including routing, the latest PGDS version of baggage screening, tracking & tracing and gathering and visualizing process information as well as interfaces for baggage reconciliation.
